Praise Header

We can hardly live a perfect life, but we can live a surpassing one with the heavenly faith received through God’s grace. Through faith we will be able to turn our eyes from difficult circumstances and focus on who He is and what He has done. Once we turn our eyes back to God, our praise to Him will flow out of us naturally. However, it is usually not our habit to do so. We ought to exercise our will consciously and intentionally to praise Him. May the Spirit help us to proclaim His name and wonderful deeds, and “ascribe to Him the glory due His name”.

Month of Praising - Day 11

Day 11  Exodus 15:1-7, 11-13
1 Then Moses and the children of Israel sang this song to the Lord, and spoke, saying:
“I will sing to the Lord, for He has triumphed gloriously!
The horse and its rider He has thrown into the sea!
2 The Lord is my strength and song, and He has become my salvation;
He is my God, and I will praise Him; My father’s God, and I will exalt Him.
3 The Lord is a man of war; The Lord is His name.
4 Pharaoh’s chariots and his army He has cast into the sea;
His chosen captains also are drowned in the Red Sea.
5 The depths have covered them; They sank to the bottom like a stone.
6 “Your right hand, O Lord, has become glorious in power;
Your right hand, O Lord, has dashed the enemy in pieces.
7 And in the greatness of Your excellence, You have overthrown those who rose against You;
You sent forth Your wrath; It consumed them like stubble.

11 “Who is like You, O Lord, among the gods? Who is like You, glorious in holiness, fearful in praises, doing wonders?
12 You stretched out Your right hand; The earth swallowed them.
13 You in Your mercy have led forth the people whom You have redeemed; You have guided them in Your strength to Your holy habitation.

 ----------------------------------------------------
God led the Israelites across the Red Sea, and performed wonders before them. His mighty deeds remind and assure us that our God is able to carry us through any difficulty to come. To Him belong all majesty and glory. He is not only our close friend, but the Creator, the Holy one. No one else can compare with Him. In the same way that He led the Israelites out of Egypt He has been working in us: to save us, free us, guide us, and strengthen us through trials and temptations. Therefore, not only shall we give praise to Him when we are experiencing His mighty power in the middle of difficulties, but we should always remember His mercy and grace, and learn to quickly turn back to Him. May we never forget that our God is faithful, willing to give and forgive, and full of blessings. He will certainly answer our prayers in Christ.
