Praise Header

We can hardly live a perfect life, but we can live a surpassing one with the heavenly faith received through God’s grace. Through faith we will be able to turn our eyes from difficult circumstances and focus on who He is and what He has done. Once we turn our eyes back to God, our praise to Him will flow out of us naturally. However, it is usually not our habit to do so. We ought to exercise our will consciously and intentionally to praise Him. May the Spirit help us to proclaim His name and wonderful deeds, and “ascribe to Him the glory due His name”.

Month of Praising - Day 23

Day 23  1Timothy 1:15-17, 3:16
15 This is a faithful saying and worthy of all acceptance, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners,of whom I am chief. 16 However, for this reason I obtained mercy, that in me first Jesus Christ might show all longsuffering,as a pattern to those who are going to believe on Him for everlasting life. 17 Now to the King eternal, immortal, invisible,to God who alone is wise,be honor and glory forever and ever. Amen.
16 And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness:
God was manifested in the flesh,
Justified in the Spirit,
Seen by angels,
Preached among the Gentiles,
Believed on in the world,
Received up in glory.

The lives of God’s children are actually on display - a spectacle to the angeles and to the world.  Jesus Christ came to this world not to glorify His own name, but for the sin of the world, or I may say for me the sinner.  With Christ’ might, He could easily destroy the power of sin, but without atonement He would still not be able to set man free from sin.  Instead, Jesus Christ came to this world to become a man with human nature, to experience a man’s life, to understand man’s poverty, bondage and sorrows.  He became the first fruit sacrificed to God, and opened a new and living way for man.
