Praise Header

We can hardly live a perfect life, but we can live a surpassing one with the heavenly faith received through God’s grace. Through faith we will be able to turn our eyes from difficult circumstances and focus on who He is and what He has done. Once we turn our eyes back to God, our praise to Him will flow out of us naturally. However, it is usually not our habit to do so. We ought to exercise our will consciously and intentionally to praise Him. May the Spirit help us to proclaim His name and wonderful deeds, and “ascribe to Him the glory due His name”.

Month of Praising - Day 4

Psalm71 4-6,14-24
Deliver me, O my God, out of the hand of the wicked, Out of the hand of the unrighteous and cruel man.For You are my hope, O Lord GODYou are my trust from my youth.
By You I have been upheld from birth; You are He who took me out of my mother’s womb. My praise shall be continually of You.
14 But I will hope continually, And will praise You yet more and more.15 My mouth shall tell of Your righteousness And Your salvation all the day, For I do not know their limits.
16 I will go in the strength of the Lord GODI will make mention of Your righteousness, of Yours only.
17 O God, You have taught me from my youth; And to this day I declare Your wondrous works.18 Now also when I am old and grayheaded, O God, do not forsake me, Until I declare Your strength to this generation, Your power to everyone who is to come.
19 Also Your righteousness, O God, is very high, You who have done great things; O God, who is like You?20 You, who have shown me great and severe troubles, Shall revive me again, And bring me up again from the depths of the earth.21 You shall increase my greatness, And comfort me on every side.
22 Also with the lute I will praise You— And Your faithfulness, O my God! To You I will sing with the harp, O Holy One of Israel.
23 My lips shall greatly rejoice when I sing to You, And my soul, which You have redeemed.24 My tongue also shall talk of Your righteousness all the day long; For they are confounded, For they are brought to shame Who seek my hurt.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Pay attention to the terms "praise to be continually of you", "praise You yet more and more", "tell of You all the day", and "mention of You only" in this psalm, it is obvious that full of praises is the normal state of the author throughout his life. You can hardly think of him as an old perishing man with great challenges.

As Paul says, "Therefore we do not lose heart. Even though our outward man is perishing, yet the inward man is being renewed day by day". Filled with joy and hope, the author (body and soul) greatly rejoices in the Lord by praising His salvation and righteousness. May we can all be full of praises in our ordinary life!
